Keshet International (KI) has completed a number of scripted deals in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, including its first sale for Prisoners of War India.

Both series of Emmay Entertainment’s Bandi Yuddh Ke (Prisoners of War India) (110×30’) – which is based on Gideon Raff’s emotionally charged and powerful drama that became the multi-Emmy Award-winning series Homeland – have been picked up by Mola TV in a multi-title deal for its Indonesian OTT and pay-TV service.

Other scripted shows acquired from KI for Mola TV include: Universal Television and Keshet Studios’ The Brave, the 13×60’ thriller for NBC starring Anne Heche and Mike Vogel; Seven Studios’ soapy thriller Secret Bridesmaids’ Business (6×60’) starring Abbie Cornish, Katie McGrath, Georgina Haig, and Alexander England; New Form Digital’s futuristic comedy Miss 2059 (10×12’) starring Youtuber Anna Akana; alongside HBO and Keshet Studios’ Our Boys, the 10×60’ multi-award-winning drama created by Hagai Levi, Joseph Cedar and Tawfik Abu-Wael which is based on the true events that led to the outbreak of war in Gaza in 2014.

Our Boys has also been picked up by SBS in Australia, along with the third 6×30’ series of The A Word – Fifty Fathoms and Keshet Productions’ award-winning family drama based on Keren Margalit’s Yellow Peppers – along with the catch-up TV rights to the first two 6×60’ series of this uplifting drama about a young boy diagnosed with autism.

KI has also sold Our Boys to pay-TV operator Now TV in Hong Kong, in a multi-title deal that also includes Ecosse Films and Great Meadow Productions’ The Trial of Christine Keeler (6×60’) starring Sophie Cookson, James Norton, Emilia Fox, and Ben Miles.

Originally produced for BBC One, this highly acclaimed, contemporary retelling of the infamous Profumo Affair has also been acquired by BBC Studios for its UKTV channel in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, TVNZ in New Zealand has also picked up The Brave and Secret Bridesmaids’ Business, along with Gideon Raff and Tim Kring’s 10×60’ murder mystery Dig, which stars Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche and is produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Keshet Broadcasting.

To date, The Trial of Christine Keeler has already been acquired in the US by HBO Max, Australia (ABC), Benelux and Africa (BBC First), the Netherlands (NPO), and Spain (Cosmo TV), with Acorn Media International and ABC’s Home Entertainment division picking-up the home video rights from KI, in the UK and for both Australia and New Zealand respectively.
